A few words about

Our Impact

Our projects

Every Act of Care Creates Change.

At Project Relief, impact isn’t measured in numbers alone it’s measured in lives protected, families reunited, and communities empowered. Since 2019, our immigrant-led collective has stood on the frontlines of racial and immigrant justice, filling the gaps where institutions fail. Together, we’ve built a network of care rooted in solidarity, love, and action because no one should face detention, hunger, or homelessness alone.
Action
We believe justice should never depend on income or immigration status. Through community-funded mutual aid, we’ve helped cover lawyer fees, court expenses, and bail costs for families targeted by ICE.
  • Supported dozens of detained immigrants in accessing legal representation.
  • Prevented wrongful deportations by connecting families with trusted attorneys.
  • Funded emergency legal relief through grassroots donations and collective care.
Support
When families lose their homes due to detention, job loss, or systemic neglect, we step in. Our volunteers have provided temporary housing, rental support, and safe shelter to those with nowhere else to go.
  • Sheltered over 25 families and individuals, many of them children.
  • Partnered with local allies to secure long-term housing solutions.
  • Ensured that no family sleeps outside during their hardest moments.
Care
No one should have to choose between rent and food. Through our community food drives and delivery programs, we bring groceries and essentials to families, elders, and unhoused neighbors.
  • Delivered hundreds of grocery boxes each year.
  • Provided diapers, hygiene supplies, and household goods through mutual aid.
  • Prioritized support for Black, immigrant, and asylum-seeking families in crisis.
Leadership
We stand ready when our community is threatened. Our ICE Monitoring Team tracks local enforcement activity, informs residents of their rights, and mobilizes support during raids or detentions.
  • Built a real-time alert network across Maine communities.
  • Hosted Know Your Rights workshops for immigrant families.
  • Stood beside those facing detention with direct aid and advocacy.
Care
Change happens when we show up together. We organize protests, teach-ins, and mutual aid events that center the voices of those most affected by injustice.
  • Mobilized hundreds of community members to demand fair treatment for immigrants.
  • Collaborated with local racial justice groups to fight systemic oppression.
  • Built a movement of care and resistance led by immigrants, for immigrants.
